Fashion girls you NEED to be following on instagram.

Like most millennials, I spend a lot of time on instagram. Arguably too much time if you as me. Instagram and pinterest are my go to’s when it comes to wanting to find some cool new outfit ideas. If you guys follow me over on youtube, than you would know that during Christmas time last year, I unfollowed over 1000 people on instagram in hopes of creating a happier, more inspiring feed. Meaning I am very picky with who I follow, and who’s style I think is great enough to have inspire me on the daily. So today I’ve curated my FAVE girls on instagram who’s style I love.

I don’t know how I was so late to the game discovering who Allegra is, but boy is she ever the epitome of cool. She basically invented the sped-up-time-lapse-changing-outfits lookbook video style that has taken over youtube and instagram. Allegra is from the east coast of Canada, meaning she is a master at layering. She is the only person I’ve ever seen able to make a Canadian winter look chic. Managing that perfect balance between chill-yet-put-together she is great at making her self look stylish and comfortable. To top everything off, she also owns her own clothing company! I mean serious #girlbossgoals.

Anna is the queen of the “Capsule Wardrobe” in a way that proves that you don’t need to buy new clothes every week to be stylish. She is a big believer in investing in core pieces that make you feel good, look good, and work together. Every season, she’ll comb through her wardrobe and assess if there is anything she feels like is missing, anything she isn’t wearing, and then will make a list of what is missing and goes out to find it. Other than those 4 times a year, she tries to not buy any other clothes, forcing her to really think about what it is she’s buying and how it works into her wardrobe. I LOVE this idea, as it forces you to become more conscious of what it is that you’re buying. She’s also come up with a core wardrobe that makes it seem so easy to make outfits, as almost everything looks good together. I mean, she even just did a video where her husband picked out all her outfits, and they were all so cute. I feel like that is a true testament to how well-curated her wardrobe is.

I genuinely think that Jess has one of the coolest, most unique styles on instagram. She’s one of my OGs in terms of youtubers/influencers I follow, and she has never stopped blowing me away with what she chooses to buy and how she styles it. She’s bold with her colours, isn’t afraid to play with size, and consistently shops in both the womens and mens sections of shops. She has a sense of fearlessness with her choices that end up coming across effortless in a way that only she can do. You can’t put her style into a box or stereotypical category, it always just looks like jess. I love how she incorporates high end and low end pieces, as well as how she manages to pull of athleasure wear, and her bold choices in patterns and accessories.

I mean, is anyone even surprised anymore when I say that I am a huge fan of Zoe? She’s another one of my OGs that I’ve been following for what feels like forever (I was watching before her and Alfie had even started dating). Her style is fun, full of colour, cozy, and girly. I feel constantly inspired by her to be more colourful with my choices in knitwear, trousers, and more. Clearly a 90’s kid, she loves a good graphic tee, chunky boot/sneaker, and a high-wasted pant. But she also likes to take a more feminine approach, with soft florals, maxi dresses, hair wraps, and fun patterns. Like Jess, Zoe doesn’t try and fit into a certain “box”, instead just taking inspiration for different places, and I really enjoy that.

If you had to pick one account that sums up the relaxed, chill, effortless European-girl style that is so covetable, Miren’s account would be it. Seriously, this girl just oozes an effortless-chic vibe whilst still maintaining comfort in a way that I couldn’t even dream of pulling off. She makes me want to buy all of the linen dresses and oversized jumpers my closet could afford. I also am seriously in love with how she edits her photos, and her cute new puppy. She is so good at layering, but also keeping accessories to a minimum in a way that just makes her look like she put no thought into her outfit at all yet is just so chic. Serious girl-crush over here.

Ewelina is the QUEEN of the mirror-selfie. Scrolling through her endless feed of neutral tones, power-suits, great handbags and minimal accessories is so incredibly satisfying. She is one of the reasons I feel in love with Polene handbags (Julian just bought me this one she’s wearing in min green for my birthday, it’s amazing). Her wardrobe is full of basics that pair well together that also make it easy to think of ways you could recreate them using what you already have.

Another Eastern-Canadian gem on instagram who’s layering game is so strong that it makes my West-Canadian self think that I could maybe actually handle a “real” Canadian winter if I tried. She is truly a master at the oversized sweater+trousers combo that I just love so much. Her accessory game is also strong, making me really want to try and knit myself one of these jumbo oversized scarves. Great taste in shoes, handbags, sunglasses, and scarves, she takes what would seemingly be a “boring” outfit and just makes it so cool. I also love that whilst sticking to the neutrals we all know and love, she also makes some bold colour choices, making the prospect of wearing more colourful pieces a lot less daunting. She just strikes me as just being an overall cool girl.

Those are some of my favourite fashion instagrammers as of late! Let me know in the comment’s below if you get your fashion inspo from instagram as well, and if so, who are some of your favourite instagrammers? I’d love to check them out.
