Fashion Friday's OOTD
Hello my lovelies! The sun has blessed itself upon us once again here in Vancouver, and though it is windy it's that perfect spring 16˚C. Though I am only staying home all day basically (due to a bum finger), I decided to get dressed, look cute, and read my book outside whilst drinking some iced tea in the sunshine.
If you have been following my blog for a little while, then you probably would of seen how in April's Wardrobe Wishlist, I talked about how my coworker had this slouchy long sleeve crop top in grey from American Apparel that I was on the hunt for (or something similar). Well I found myself in American Apparel the other day and to my excitement found my friends exact top. I tried it on in over 6 different colours, and I just fell in love with the black and white stripped one. This shirt is super lightweight, and I can already tell that it's going to be one of those wardrobe staples that can work in every season (here in Vancouver at least). It also has a really cool texture to it that makes it a little more unique. This shirt is the tea, and I have a feeling I'm going to be wearing it all the time.
I am kind of known for taking pieces of clothing and folding/pinning/wearing them incorrectly to turn them into a different article of clothing then they actually are. I really wanted to have my skirt fall to a midi length, but I didn't have one. So I took my maxi skirt and just brought it up past my boobs so that the skirt would become the length I wanted. A little fashion hack for you ;)
I am currently reading The Fault In Our Stars by John Green, because I want to make sure I've read it and know it before the movie comes out (have you seen that trailer? OMG I am so excited). I'm about a third of the way in and I am already in love with this book. The amount of feels is unreal, but knowing John Green I'm preparing myself for him to break my heart into a million pieces at the end of the story.
Oh yah, and if you're wondering what I did to my finger? I decided right after waking up from a nap that it would be a good idea to try and take the pit out of an avocado using a cutco knife. Let's just say, the knife went straight through the avocado and straight through my finger too. 6 hours in the ER and 4 stitches later, my finger is one grumpy lil' bugger.
